HOTELS A GENEVE
Evitez les hôtels proche de la gare, à l'exception de ceux listés ci-dessous, car le quartier n'est pas très tranquille la nuit (bien que 100% sûr comme dans le reste de Genève). Le centre-ville inclut la vieille-ville, la rade et les principales rues piétonnes. La liste est pour l'instant en anglais uniquement. En français dans quelques jours: 2-star:

italian village with small painted house. 10 minutes from the campuses
and the city centre with the tramway.

walk takes to the city centre.

the train station, however not in a bad area. The campuses can be
reached by nice walks across the Rhone river in about 20 minutes
(Bastions) or 30 minutes (Uni-Mail). A short ride by tramway (10
minutes) gets you quicker to the campus.

conveniently located, this hotel also offers backpacker's accomodation
(4-people dormitories) at a cheaper price. A direct tramway link to the
campuses (approx. 15 minutes). A bit far by foot.

Campuses are easily reachable by public transportation.
Other Geneva offers many 3-star hotels. The following ones are the best choices. See rates and contact information on the Geneva tourist board website.: - Hotel COMEDIE (very close to the campuses) - Hotel EXCELSIOR (on the Rhone river in Geneva centre, right bank of the river. 15 minutes walk to the Bastions and 20 to Uni-Mail, or public transportation). - Hotel HERMITAGE (in the very center of Geneva) - Hotel LONGEMALLE (same) - Hotel MON REPOS (further from the center but a short walk from the most beautiful gardens of Geneva lake shore. Campuses are reachable with public transportation, approx. 20 minutes). - Hotel JEAN-JACQUES ROUSSEAU (close to the Excelsior). - Hotel CALVY (10 minutes to the campuses and the centre by tramway) Many fancy 4- and 5-star hotels are available, located inside the old town or on the lake.
